Say goodbye to unruly and frizzy hair and rejuvenate your strands. Hair botox is a completely natural product used to hydrate the hair, restoring its natural shine and repairing damage caused by aggressive chemical treatments that can harm and dry out the hair. Despite its name, this product does not contain botulinum toxin, so it has nothing to do with the botox commonly used to address skin issues. However, it owes its name to its rejuvenating effect on the hair.

The composition includes vitamins, proteins, collagen, hyaluronic acid, panthenol, caviar oil, and peptides, which act as hair regenerators, even when the hair is severely damaged, reconstructing it from the roots to the tips. Despite not being intended for frizz control, hair straightening is achieved through the deep hydration provided by the application of hair botox, while simultaneously significantly reducing volume.

When should hair botox be used?

This hair treatment is recommended in situations where the hair fiber is severely damaged due to exposure to the sun, pollution, or excessive use of chemical products, whether for straightening, coloring, or bleaching the hair. It is advisable in cases where the hair has been frequently exposed to the use of hair dryers and straighteners, which can lead to hair dryness, loss of shine and vitality, as well as loss of elasticity due to mistreatment or normal aging. Thanks to its ingredients, hair botox is not only effective in repairing damaged hair but is also highly recommended for preventing damage caused by exposure to various agents that can harm and dry out the hair.

This product is designed to improve the manageability of the hair fiber, seal the hair cuticle, repair split ends, and provide nourishing and regenerating action from the first application. It should be noted that the benefits obtained from the use of hair botox will depend on the current health condition of the hair before starting the treatment. This means that the results will not be the same for very damaged hair as for perfectly healthy hair.

How is hair botox used?

It is important to note that this treatment is not administered through injections. Its application method is similar to that of keratin treatment. It is classified as a non-invasive treatment since it is applied directly to the hair through a massage across the entire hair fiber. To correctly apply hair botox, follow these simple steps:

  1. Wash the hair with an alkaline shampoo to remove all impurities from both the hair and the scalp. It is recommended to wash it twice to ensure it is completely clean.
  2. Remove excess moisture with a hairdryer or, if preferred, dry it thoroughly. The product can be used on completely dry or slightly damp hair.
  3. After removing excess water and preparing the product, start dividing the hair into small sections and begin applying the product a centimeter away from the scalp, section by section, gently massaging the area where the hair botox will be applied until covering the entire hair.
  4. After applying the product to the entire hair, cover it with a thermal cap and use a hairdryer to allow the heat to activate the product. Leave it on for 20 minutes. If you don’t have a hairdryer, you can leave it on for a longer period.
  5. Remove the product using only abundant water and proceed to dry it with a hairdryer. Then, proceed to style it. The heat generated by the straightener will allow the remaining hair botox to begin acting on it.

Advantages of Hair Treatment with Botox

It’s important to note that not all hair treatments are suitable for everyone. One of its advantages is that it doesn’t contain harmful ingredients for the scalp. It repairs the tips and the entire fiber in general. It nourishes, adds shine, and softens. It’s quite safe, although occasionally it may cause irritation or an allergic reaction.

  • Damage Repair: This effect is highly desirable, especially considering constant exposure to pollution and chemicals. A repairing treatment becomes essential to revitalize the hair.
  • Frizz Reduction: Decreasing frizz is crucial to improving the aesthetics of the hair, especially in humid climates that tend to exacerbate this issue.
  • Increased Shine: Hair repair enhances the natural color of the hair, giving it a healthier appearance and a rejuvenated shine.
  • Volume and Fullness Boost: Although hair botox is not specifically designed to straighten the hair, it achieves a gentle smoothing effect while simultaneously adding volume, creating a denser look. This makes it an option to conceal early-stage hair loss.
  • Texture Improvement: Botox’s ability to nourish and seal the cuticle transforms rough and brittle hair into one with a smooth and pleasant texture.

In summary, hair botox is beneficial for men and women with various types of damaged or frizz-prone hair. For more information on this topic, we invite you to check out our blog.
